How can my donation of $25 a month really make an impact in the bigger picture?
A child at CCVI can begin receiving services just weeks after their birth. As they grow into a toddler, they learn to read stories just as every child does; however, it isn’t as simple as walking into a library for a child with a visual impairment.
Many children learn to read braille at CCVI. They get to experience the magic of a storybook and feel the literature spring off the page through dots.
A $25 monthly contribution can provide 12 books written in braille over the course of a year. That is 12 new tales of fiction for a 4-year-old with Cortical Visual Impairment. That is 12 new nonfiction books about the wonders of science for a 5-year-old with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. That is 12 new precious moments provided between a father or mother and their child reading together.
