Overview

Turn your compassion into action and set an example for others by remembering CCVI in your will, trust, or other planned gift.  No gift has more of a lasting impact.

A bequest:

  • Is easy to arrange.

  • Will not alter your current lifestyle in any way.

  • Can be easily modified to address your changing needs.

A planned gift to Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired demonstrates your belief in our mission and reinforces your commitment to make a difference to children with visual impairments. Planned giving allows you to fulfill your charitable intentions and can result in immediate and future tax benefits for you under state and federal tax law.

Planned gifts can be as simple as adding the CCVI as a beneficiary of your 401(k) or IRA or as complex as creating a charitable trust. Each gift offers special benefits. And each gift creates a long-term financial resource that helps sustain our community—from generation to generation.

With careful planning, it is possible to reduce or eliminate income taxes (including capital gains) and transfer taxes (including gift, estate, inheritance, and generation-skipping). You might also enjoy tax savings while turning appreciated assets into an income for yourself and others. Planned giving is a tool that helps CCVI and enhances your financial plans and security. Consult an Attorney or Estate Planner to ensure your wishes are properly executed and legally binding.

Some sample language you may use is:
