CCVI is pleased to announce it has been re-accredited for five years by the National Accreditation Council for Blind and Low Vision Services, Inc.
The National Accreditation Council for Blind and Low Vision Services, Inc. (NAC) is the only accrediting body that focuses solely on organizations serving blind and low vision consumers.
What is accreditation? Accreditation involves a recognized process of assessing organizational structure, process and outcome. Structure encompasses the setting in which services are delivered. Process encompasses the delivery of services. Outcome denotes changes in the consumer’s behavior, knowledge and function. NAC accreditation embraces structure, process and outcome by engaging the subject organization in a detailed self-assessment using NAC developed evidence-informed standards as well as an on-site peer review.
